JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With weather still in the area, women's track and field got two of their four events scheduled for Friday at the NCAA East Preliminaries as Augustine Haquet advanced in the 1500m.
Haquet finished third in her heat with a personal-best time of 4:13.99 to advance to the finals in the 1500m that is scheduled for Saturday at 5:15 p.m. Haquet got a strong start through the first 300m split (51.94) to place tenth overall in the field.
Avery Hastings started with the hammer throw in the morning with a 55.09m mark to place 35th to cap off an outstanding sophomore season.
Avery Hilliard, Quincy Hansen and Noelle Elkinton's events got postponed to Friday due to another round of weather. Women's pole vault will start at 9:30 a.m. and women's shot put will begin at 10 a.m. before the men compete.

Field events will resume tomorrow before Margaux Rawson and Haquet continue competition on Saturday with the high jump, 1500m and 5000m.
