PRINCETON, N.J. - The Cornell women's track and field team earned six points and currently stands in sixth-place after day one of the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships. Four Cornellians punched tickets to the finals in their respective events on Sunday.
Imani Reid completed the 200-meter dash in a sixth-place time of 24.22 seconds to qualify for the finals.
Augustine Haquet (4:21.88) and
Gwen Parks (4:25.95) claimed themselves a finals spot in the 1500-meter run with their top-12 finishes.
Reyne Rodrigues threatened a sub-minute performance (1:00.04) in the 400-meter hurdles to clinch a spot in the championship round.
Avery Hilliard took third-place in the pole vault with a remarkable 4.07-meter performance. Rachel Bonet (2840) and Paula Marie-Brown (2735) rank fifth and seventh in the heptathlon heading into day two.
