Jackson Debusschere Secures Top 10 Finish and Leads Cornell to Fifth Place

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – The Cornell men's golf team placed fifth in the Columbia Autumn Invitational with three Big Red golfers in the top 25.

With a career-best round of 68, Jackson Debusschere secures his first top 10 finish of his career. The senior carded a three-under 211 over the three rounds (70-73-68) to place 10th and holed six birdies in his final round.

Sophomore Tyler Debusschere paced the Big Red through the first day to place 18th overall at +3 (70-73-73). Following close behind, freshman TJ Betlow placed 22nd overall at +4 (74-71-72), his best start as a newcomer.

Weston Warden placed 29th at +5 (75-72-71) and Char Russekoff at +14 (76-73-78) rounded out the team score.

As a team, the Big Red placed fifth with a team score of 862 with host Columbia winning the team title at 836.

Cornell is back in action next week at the Binghamton Fall Event.
