ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell Sailing earned a spot in the Women's ACC Finals in mid-October after surpassing the competition at the Women's ACC Semifinals this weekend at Brown. The Big Red tallied just 97 points on its way to seven podium finishes, including four for first, across two divisions. Cornell also sent a delegation to the Danmark Trophy hosted by Coast Guard, where the team finished 17th.

At Brown, Cornell was represented by senior skipper Bridget Green and junior crew Sophia Mulvania in the A division, with sophomore skipper Winnborne Majette and sophomore crew Kate Moran taking on the B division. In the A division, Cornell finished third out of 17 teams and a narrow seven points shy of Navy, who placed second. In the B division, Cornell finished first, 13 points ahead of second-place Navy.

Cornell raced by committee at the Danmark Trophy. In the A Division, junior skipper Sophia Devling and senior crew Amelia Neumann combined efforts for a 15th-place finish. In the B Division, freshman Gilda Dondona and sophomore Pilar Cundey shared skipper duties while freshmen Ava Stevens and Hope Campbell, alongside junior Sophia Pearce, all crewed for a 19th-place finish.

The Big Red is back to the waters this weekend to compete at the Open ACC Semifinals, set for Saturday, October 5, and Sunday, October 6, hosted in St. Mary's City, Md.
