Women's Track and Field Rack Up Wins at Southern Tier Invite

ITHACA N.Y. – Cornell women's track and field won 10 events at the Southern Tier Invite on Saturday in Barton Hall.

The Big Red swept the podium in the 200m, 400m, 800m, pole vault, high jump and the shot put.

Imani Reid (25.16), Natasha Redmond (25.54) and Glenn Parker (25.73) led the sprinters in the 200m and in the 400m Reyne Rodrigues (57.36), Elise Sawyer (57.91) and Francine Stevens (58.20) took the top three spots.

Bronwyn Parks (2:15.31), Tenley Nelson (2:18.07) and Maisie McManus (2:20.02) were the top three finishers in the 800m. McManus also won the mile with a personal-best time of 5:05.34.

In the field events, Avery Hilliard (3.93m), Quincy Hansen (3.78m) and Kelly Regan (3.36m) soared to take the pole vault titles. Syna Sony (1.67m), Johanna Stuard (1.64m) and Margaux Rawson (1.64m) took the top three spots in the high jump while Noelle Elkinton (14.14), Charli Stewart (12.90) and Claire Springer (12.78) had the best three marks in the shot put.

The 4x400 relay team that consisted of Sharlyn Ramirez-Castillo, Takiya Henson, Reid and Sawyer took first with a time of 3:59.88.

Other top finishes included Jada Smith in the 60m with a time of 7.59 and Avery Hastings with a mark of 16.13m in the weight throw.
