PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Cornell women's track and field enter five new marks into the history books at highly competitive Penn 10 Elite in Philadelphia on Saturday.
Augustine Haquet was back at it with two new personal-best and two new spots in the Cornell record book. Haquet ran the mile in the time of 4:34.91, setting the new school record and finishing second on the day and then she won the 800m with a time of 2:07.14 to land third on the top 10 list.
Gwen Parks set personal-best in both the mile (4:46.11) and the 800m (2:10.30). Her mile time earned her a spot in sixth on the top ten list. Mairead Clas finished in second in the 3000m with a time of 9:21.67 to land in fourth in the record book.
Quincy Hansen remains in fourth on the top ten list for the pole vault after setting a personal-best for the second week in a row with a mark of 4.06m.
The relay team of Bronwyn Parks, Fiona Lee, Sharlyn Ramirez-Castillo and Tenley Nelson finished third the in the distance medley.
Other top five performances included Syna Sony placing third in the high jump with a 1.71m mark, Anika Sukumar with a 11.95m mark in the triple jump to finish fourth, Jada Smith placed third in the 60m with a time of 7.62 and Katja Jackson with a time of 2:09.39 in the 800m to finish fifth.
