Box Score PRINCETON, NJ — The Cornell women's basketball team lost 72-39 to Princeton in its Ivy League opener in New Jersey.
Princeton took control of the game with a seven-point run in the first-quarter and never let go of the reins or slowed down. In the second quarter, Cornell was able to put together a six-point run, but Princeton soon answered with a nine-point run of its own. After halftime, the Tigers continued their dominance as they had both a five-point and seven-point run in the third quarter. The fourth quarter was a back-and-forth aggressive battle early on, but Princeton strung together two large multi-point runs to run away with the game 72-39.
Summer Parker-Hall led Cornell in points with 11. Emily Pape led in rebounds with seven and blocks with one. Pape and Clarke Jackson led with two assists in the game and Langston led the team in steals with one.
