The game opened up similar to game one of the series, with Boston College managing the first handful of shots on Cornell's net, to no avail. It would eventually be Prefontaine who registered the opening goal for the Big Red at 12:25 to give Cornell the 1-0 advantage..
The weekend of firsts continued in the second period when MacEachern potted her first career-goal on a tip that was dealt by Scorgie for her first Big Red career-point. Just over one minute into the third stanza Curtis scored her first career-goal to extend the Big Red's lead to 3-0.
The sister-to-sister connection helped the Big Red score its first power-play goal of the season as captain and defender
Grace Dwyer netted the puck that was dealt by
Rose Dwyer and Grober.
Boston College chipped away at the lead when Lauren Glaser took matters into her own hands and found the back of the net. Five minutes later standout forward Ava Thomas went coast-to-coast to setup Tricia Piku for the second Boston College goal of the contest.
The Eagles earned itself a power-play with three minutes remaining that presented a vital opportunity for them to push closer to the equalizer. One minute into the penalty, Maxim Tremblay was tabbed with a hooking-infraction to create a 4-on-4 scenario. Boston College was not able to complete its four-goal rally-attempt as the Big Red skated away with the series sweep at Lynah Rink.
