ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell women's fencing travels to the Drew Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 1 to begin the 2025-26 season.
 
Last season at the Drew Invitational, Cornell posted a 6-0 record, winning 83 percent of its individual bouts, with all 18 fencers that competed posting a winning record. The Big Red will take on many of the same teams this year at the Drew Invitational, including NJIT, Wheaton, and Haverford.
 
Cornell returns 18 fencers to its 2025-26 roster, while adding six first-year's to the program.
 
Returners:
 
Épée
 
Ketki Ketkar leads the returners with a dominant .743 winning percentage (52-18 overall) a season ago. The veteran posted a .643 mark in Ivy competition and excelled in regional meets at .731. 
Natalie Leung provides solid depth with a .632 overall record (48-28) and 
Nora Weber brings Ivy League experience with a team-best .714 conference mark (10-4) to go with a .571 overall winning percentage.
 
Foil
 
Mia Jo returns as the most experienced foilist, posting a 41-46 overall mark (.471), including a .500 mark in regional competition.
 
Sabre
 
Samantha Marsee is Cornell's top returning weapon with a .645 overall record (69-38). She posted .725 in dual meets and maintained solid marks in both Ivy (.467) and regional competition (.522). Isabella Carvalho provides a strong second option at .605 overall (49-32), including .667 in dual meets, while 
Erika Chin returns with a .528 overall mark.
 
Newcomers:
 
Cornell fencing adds exceptional depth across all three weapons with six accomplished newcomers joining the program. The incoming class brings impressive international and national competition experience that should make an immediate impact.
 
In sabre, 
Marley Kim and 
Trisha Nath strengthen the squad with strong credentials. Kim earned multiple top-8 finishes including at the 2023 Cadet World Cup in France, while Nath brings All-American and All-Academic honors along with a 7th place Division 1 finish at the 2025 Summer Nationals.
 
The epee squad welcomes two standout additions. 
Anousheh Reid joins with US Travel Team experience and eight national medals, plus top-8 and top-16 World Cup finishes. 
Emersyn Runions arrives as a four-time First Team All-American and former Cadet National Team member with consistent top-12 finishes at Junior Olympics.
 
Lana Lee bolsters the foil lineup as a Korean National Team member competing at both junior and senior levels internationally, bringing nine years of elite competition experience.
 
Beyond their athletic achievements, the class demonstrates academic excellence with representation across Arts and Sciences, Engineering, and the School of Hotel Administration. Several earned National Honor Society recognition and All-Academic honors, embodying Cornell's commitment to the student-athlete ideal.
