ITHACA, N.Y. --- The Cornell equestrian team will host Cornell Show I on Sunday, Nov. 2 at Oxley Equestrian Center.
 
The Big Red enters the competition riding momentum from a strong start to the season, having earned one High Point Team title and two Reserve High Point Team finishes in its first three shows.
 
Cornell claimed the High Point Team title at RIT Show II on Oct. 13, where 
Erin Morera and 
Madelyn Samtani earned High Point Rider honors and 
Riley Gerardo was named Reserve High Point Rider.
 
Several Cornell riders have been consistent performers throughout the early season. 
Janice Shen and 
Alexa Carey have combined for five first place finishes in introductory competition across the three shows.
 
In open competition, 
Riley Gerardo has earned three first place finishes and three second place finishes between open flat and open fences. 
Erin Morera captured first place in both intermediate flat and open fences at RIT Show II.
 
In limit competition, 
Madelyn Samtani, 
Savannah Fasner and 
Jillian Ryan have each recorded multiple first place finishes, while 
Estelle Azurin has been a dominant force with three first place finishes in limit flat.
 
Jianna Simcik has been a versatile contributor with first place finishes in intermediate fences and strong showings across multiple divisions.
