ITHACA, N.Y. --- The Cornell equestrian team will travel to Rochester, N.Y. on Saturday and Sunday to compete in Nazareth Show I and Nazareth Show II.

The Big Red is coming off a dominant performance at Cornell Show I on Nov. 2, where Cornell earned the title of High Point Team. Jianna Simcik was named High Point Rider for the Big Red, and five Cornell riders qualified for regionals at the competition.

Cornell has now captured two High Point Team titles and two Reserve High Point Team finishes through the first four shows of the season. Simcik has been a standout performer with multiple first place finishes across intermediate flat and intermediate fences, while Riley Gerardo and Erin Morera have been forces in open competition with a combined four first place finishes at Cornell Show I.

In introductory competition, Alexa Carey earned her fourth consecutive first place finish of the season and qualified for regionals. Uma Comfort and Evelyn Gurvich both captured first place in novice competition and also punched their tickets to regionals. Lily Skillern earned her first win of the season in limit flat, while Halle Avartin qualified for regionals with a second-place finish in limit fences.

The Nazareth Shows will be the teams final showings of the fall semester, before resuming competition in February.
