ITHACA, N.Y. - The no. 4-ranked Cornell women's ice hockey team defeated the no. 14-ranked Yale Bulldogs on Friday night at Lynah Rink. The Big Red improved to 5-0-0, while the Bulldogs dropped to 3-2-0 on the season.

Beatrice Perron-Roy, and
Lindzi Avar each scored goals in the game. Perron-Roy,
Alyssa Regalado,
London McDavid, Curtis (two) , and
Avi Adam were credited with assists in the game.
Junior goaltender
Annelies Bergmann collected a season-high 39 saves against the Bulldogs, earning her fourth shutout of the season. Bergmann's performance helped improve her record to 6-0-0 in net.
Just under five minutes into the game, Curtis scored her fifth goal in six games to give Cornell a 1-0 lead early in the contest. Less than two minutes later, Perron-Roy lit the lamp to extend the advantage to 2-0 in favor of the Big Red.
Midway through the second stanza Lindzi added insurance to give Cornell a 3-0 lead. Bergmann showed resolve between the pipes, completing her fourth game unscathed this season despite being out-shot 39-21.
The Big Red continues to be strong on the penalty-kill, shutting down three Yale chances on the night. Cornell has yet to concede a power-play goal through six games. Big Red opponents are 0-15 on the advantage, while Cornell is 7-20 (.350) on the power-play.
Freshman forward Curtis has been strong out of the gate, leading the team in points with eight (5g, 3a). With her goal and two assists against the Bulldogs, she registered her second multi-point game of the season and extended her point-streak to five.
