Three Players Named To All-Ivy League Field Hockey Team

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Three Big Red field hockey players were selected to the 2025 All-Ivy League team announced on Wednesday afternoon following voting by the conference's eight head coaches. Sophomore Uma Käding was a second-team pick, while juniors Julia Ramsey and Rease Coleman were honorable mention picks. Additionally, senior Jane McNally was named to the Academic All-Ivy League team.

Käding led the team in goals (11), points (27) and shots (67) while playing in 14 contests for the Big Red. The sophomore's 11 goals was tied for the conference lead in the regular season, while her points total was second. She scored goals in nine different contests, including a hat trick in an Ivy win over Columbia, and posted a goal and an assist in three other contests. Her 17 career goals ranks tied for 15th all-time at Cornell.

Ramsey led the Ivy League and ranked sixth nationally in assists per game (0.93), ending the year second on the team in points (24) and goals (five) to go along with her 14 assists. She had multiple assists in three different games, including three in a win over Mercyhurst, and notched a five-point day with two goals and an assist against Bryant. Ramsey was one of just three players to start all 15 contests and three of her five goals proved to be game winners. Her 35 career assists is second in school history, while her 57 points is tied for 14th.

Coleman played in all 15 contest with 14 starts, tallying six assists. Four of her helpers came in Ivy League contests, upping her career total for assists to 15 - a mark that stands 13th in school history. The three-year starter ranked among the team leaders in minutes played (645).

McNally, the reigning Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, will graduate with her degree in Communication this spring. The senior closed the campaign, her first as a starter, with an 11-4 record and a 1.61 goals against average on a .694 save percentage. The 11 wins tie her for second in a single season in school history, while her goals against average also ranks in the top 20 all-time for the Big Red. Her three solo shutouts rank tied for 14th in a season at Cornell.

Cornell closed the 2025 season with an 11-4 record (4-3 Ivy), good for third place in the final Ancient Eight standings. The Big Red opened its new Marsha Dodson Field, celebrating the new facility with a 5-2 record that included wins over nationally-ranked Yale as well as a double overtime shootout victory over Penn in the season finale.
