Uma Käding Named Third-Team Field Hockey All-American By Synapse Sports

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Sophomore forward Uma Käding has been named to the 2025 Synapse Sports All-America third team it was announced on Thursday. It is the first All-America honor for Käding, who is among 13 Ivy Leaguers named on the three teams.

Käding, a first-team NFHCA Mideast All-Region and second-team All-Ivy League selection, led Cornell in goals (11), points (27) and shots (67) across 14 contests. Her 11 goals tied for the Ivy League regular-season lead, and her point total ranked second. She scored in nine goals, including a hat trick against Columbia, and logged three one-goal, one-assist performances. With 17 career goals, she is already tied for 15th on Cornell's all-time list.

Cornell finished 11-4 (4-3 Ivy), tying for third in the conference. Three of its four losses came against NCAA Final Four teams. Nationally, the Big Red led the country in penalty corners per game (10.53) and ranked among the top 12 in assists per game (seventh), points per game (11th), shutouts per game (12th), and winning percentage (12th, .733).
