Pape Named Ivy League Player of the Week

ITHACA, N.Y. - Cornell women's basketball senior forward Emily Pape has been named Ivy League Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. 

Pape scored a season-best 24 points in Cornell's loss to Stanford on Sunday, making a career-high six 3-pointers and shooting 9-for-21 from the field. The 20-point outing was the seniors first this season and seventh of her career, while recording double figures for the sixth time this season and 51st time in her career. She added two rebounds and a steal in the loss. 

On the season, Pape is averaging 11.2 points per game, while shooting 33.0 percent from the field and 31.0 percent from 3-point land. She is now 29 points away from 1,000 for her career. 

Cornell will begin league play this Saturday, Jan. 3 when it travels to NYC to take on Columbia at 2 p.m.
