"It was a strong meet with many great swims. This mid-season invite gives our athletes valuable experience competing in a prelim-final format similar to the Ivy Championship, and it also helps show both them and our staff what we need to focus on between now and Ivies. I'm proud of how the team competed and pleased with where we are at this point in the season. At the same time, there are clear areas where we can continue to improve—which is exciting", Wes Newman, the Philip H. Bartels '71 Head Coach of Men's Swimming mentioned.
"
Haihan Xu was a standout this weekend, excelling in the breaststroke events and posting times that are extremely competitive across the league. His progress will be a major boost to our medley relay at Ivies.Danny Simoes and
Josh Toothman delivered impressive performances in the sprint events and were key contributors on our relays.
Pietro Ubertalli led a strong backstroke group and will look to build on the momentum from his races this weekend.", Newman added. "Overall, it was an encouraging finish to a solid semester as we head into finals and intersession.", he concluded with.
