ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell women's track and field swept two field events on the first day of the Bomber Invitational hosted by Ithaca College on Saturday.
The pole vault team continues to shine as Quincy Hansen (3.82m), Kelly Regan (3.67m) and Lauren Cashman (3.62) swept the top of the podium.
Noelle Elkinton placed first in the shot put with a mark of 14.12 on her final throw of the day. Charli Stewart (13.33), Claire Springer (12.97) and Nicole Loy (12.84) followed her up to take the top four placements.
Avery Hastings earned a personal-best mark of 17.18m in the weight throw to take first place. Elkinton placed second with a mark of 16.72m.
To round out the field events, Rikki Carver jumped a personal-best 11.41m to place first in the triple jump.
Jodi Parrott ran the 60m hurdles in 8.81 seconds to capture first in the event.
Other top three performances include Jordanne Nicholes placing third in the 200m, Lucia Werner running the 3000m in 10:25.36 to take third, Sade Falese (5.48m) and Tia Taylor (5.32m) took second and third in the long jump, and Johanna Stuard finished second in the high jump with a mark of 1.63m.
