ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell men's track and field set a school record at the Alex Wilson Invitational in Indianna while Peter Northrup won two throws events and five other took first in events at the Marc Deneault Invitational in Barton Hall.
Peter Northrup won the weight throw with a 17.29m mark and shot put a new personal-best with a 17.77m mark that moves him up to fourth in Cornell record books. Noah Harman (16.22m) and Mannie Arbabi (15.63) placed second and third in the shot put behind Northrup.
Brady Shute (1:53.36), Sam Ayers (1:55.57) and Michael Dizon-Bumann (1:55.79) swept the 800m for the Big Red.
Two pairs of runners took the top two spots in their respected events. Adam Martinson (4:10.79) and Rithikh Prakash (4:12.44) in the mile and Kamran Murray (8:29.98) and Zachary Winnicki (8:31.47) in the 3000m.
Jeff Yang won the 200m with a time of 22.49 for the sprinters.
Stepan Matura placed first in the long jump with a mark of 6.91m with Ryan Antwi placing second with a 6.74m mark.
Other top three finishes include Panashe Nhenga placed second in the 60m, Jeremy Henderson was third in the 200m and Ryan Antwi finished second in the triple jump.
ALEX WILSON INVITE
Derek Amicon, Fabien De Silva, Pierre Attiogbe and Damian Hackett placed fourth with a school record in the distance medley relay with a time of 9:22.09 at the Alex Wilson Invitational. The men are currently ranked 15th in the NCAA in this event.

Cornell host the Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal Championships on March 1-2 in Barton Hall. The meet will be broadcast on ESPN+ for both days of competition.
