ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell women's track and field found podium placements in three events at the opening day of the 2025 Ivy League Heptagonal Championships while qualifying nine for day two in Barton Hall on Saturday. The women currently sit in fifth in the team overall standing with 11 points.
With her highest indoor pole vault mark of 4.16m, Avery Hilliard placed third to secure six points for Cornell.
Mairead Clas ran the 3000m in a time of 9:27.23 to place fourth, earning four points for the Big Red.
Paula-Marie Brown finished sixth in the pentathlon with 3655 points over the five events. She placed third in the shot put portion of the competition for her highest finish. Her efforts grabbed a point for the team.
The women's team also qualified nine individuals to compete for more team points and individual championships in the finals tomorrow.
