Women's Track and Field Team Places Fourth at 2025 Indoor Ivy Heptagonal Championships

ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell women's track and field scored a total of 63 team points to place fourth overall alongside Syna Sony winning the high jump at the 2025 Ivy League Heptagonal Championships at Barton Hall on Sunday.

Princeton won the Ivy League team title with 168 points followed by Harvard (160), Penn (67), Cornell, Yale (54), Dartmouth (52), Brown (32) and Columbia (24).

Syna Sony won the high jump at a height of 1.74m to match her career-high mark.

With a time of 4:40.25, Augustine Haquet placed second in the mile.

Gwen Parks ran the 1000m in a career-best time of 2:44.74 to place third while Mairead Clas finished the 5000m in 16:31.30 to also finish third.

Francine Stevens, Katja Jackson and Imani Reid all placed fifth in their respective events. Stevens ran the 400m in 55.85, Jackson finished the 800m in 2:09.19 and Reid sprinted the 200m in 24.29. Each athlete contributed two points to Cornell's final team score.

Noelle Elkinton was the only field event to make the podium. She placed fifth in the shot put with a mark of 14.63m

The women's distance medley relay team consisting of Maisie McManus, Natasha Redmond, Tenley Nelson and Augustine Haquet placed second in the event.

The 4x400 team of Elise Sawyer, Imani Reid, Francine Stevens and Reyne Rodrigues finished fourth and the 4x800 squad of Maddie Poole, Bronwyn Parks, Gwen Parks and Katja Jackson finished fifth all grabbing points towards the team standings.

The NCAA Indoor Championships are scheduled for March 14-15 in Virginia Beach. Vir. Then the outdoor season starts for Cornell at the USF Alumni Invitational on March 21-22.
