ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell sailing team returns to the water one last time in advance of the MAISA Spring Women's event when it competes at the Georgetown Women's Team Race and the Kings Point Open Team Race over two days, beginning on Saturday, March 22.
The Big Red took eighth place among 16 teams at last weekend's Graham Hall Team Race at Navy, host of next weekend's MAISA Spring Women's championship.
Cornell will be one of eight schools racing the round robin team event at Georgetown in round one before going to a final four format. Kings Point, meanwhile, will feature 10 schools locked into round robin competition. Both squads will compete in FJ's, with the open team also racing in 420s.
Cornell has one regatta win and three top five team finishes in its first three weekends back on the water under head coach
Lior Lavie. This will be the first weekend with the team competing North of Maryland.
