ITHACA, N.Y. — The Cornell men's heavyweight rowing program begins the spring portion of its schedule on Saturday morning when it welcomes Drexel to the Cornell Rowing Center.
Racing is slated to begin at 8:20 a.m. with the Big Red and Dragons' 3V8+ crews beginning the day's racing on the Cayuga Inlet. In total, five races will take place on Saturday.
Cornell has not raced against outside competition since hosting Dartmouth and Syracuse for the Cornell Fall Classic on Nov. 2.
Saturday's races will welcome Drexel's head coach and director of rower, Paul Savell, to East Hill. Savell is the father of Cornell senior lightweight rower Jack Savell and sophomore heavyweight rower
Joe Savell.
