ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell women's sailing team took third at Navy's Jen Harris Women's Team Race to highlight a dual regatta weekend. The Big Red also raced at the St. Mary's College Team Race, finishing eighth overall.
The Big Red took third among 12 teams at Navy with a 13-6 overall mark, advancing to the final four and picking up a win over Georgetown to cement its third-place finish. The Big Red was 9-2 in the opening round, one win behind Yale and Brown, who both finished 10-1 - the Bears' lone defeat came to Cornell. After finishing with a 3-2 mark in the top six, Cornell advanced to the finals under the direction of skippers

Cornell sailing will compete at the MAISA Team Racing League regatta at Navy over two days beginning on Saturday, March 15.
