LAKE MOREY, VER. - The Cornell women's rowing team took the water for races with Dartmouth and Northeastern on Saturday at the Lake Morey Regatta, earning a victory in the 3V4 for the second weekend in a row. The Big Green ultimately retained the Parents Cup over the Big Red with its win in the 1V8 during the morning session.
In the morning session of the Lake Morey Regatta, Cornell fell short in five out of six of the races, claiming its lone win of the day in the 3V4 with a time of 8:27.7. The Big Red took second-place out of the three schools in the 2V4 (8:17.79) during the first session, edging out Northeastern (8:32.09) by 15 seconds, and falling short of Dartmouth (8:12.38) by five seconds.
During the evening session, Cornell was unable to grab a victory against Northeastern. The Big Red's closest opportunity came in the 2nd Varsity Eight, where Cornell fell short by two seconds with its time of 7:23.89.
