QUALIFYING
Damian Hackett and Pierre Attiogbe earned their qualifying scores in the 1500m at the Raleigh Relays on March 27. Since then, the pair placed third and fourth at Ivy Championships just a few weeks back. Hackett owns the school record in the 1500m with a time of 3:36.78 and will make his fourth trip to the NCAA prelims with Attiogbe right behind him at 3:37.13 and looking at his first trip to the post season.
Ryder King came off a second-place finish at the Ivy Championships to mark his personal best time of 13.86 in the 110m hurdles at Cornell Last Chance Twilight to earn his second trip to the East Prelims. King holds the fifth fastest time in Cornell's history in the event.
After an explosive first-place finish at the Ivy League Championship meet, Derek Amicon looks to keep the momentum rolling in the steeplechase. Originally qualifying at the Penn Relays with a personal best time of 8:44.00, fourth best Cornell time, Amicon returns for the second consecutive year in the 3000m steeplechase.
Breaking the school record in the pole vault for the first time on May 4, Eli Gault-Crabb has continued to climb in the back half of the season, winning Ivy Heps with a mark of 5.21m then following up the next weekend with a 5.40m to head into NCAAs with the 16th best vault in the East Division and 33rd best in the whole NCAA.
Peter Northrup broke into Cornell's history book in only his first season on the East Hill holding the third best time with his personal-best throw of 18.35m at Ivy Championships to continue on with his rookie season.
