ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell women's sailing coaching staff and three Big Red sailors were voted for conference honors when the 2025 All-Ivy League team was announced on Thursday afternoon. Coaching Staff of the Year went to the Big Red, while
Sophia Mulvania (first team) and
Bridget Green (second team) earned all-league accolades and senior
Sophia Fogarty was an Academic All-Ivy League selection.
Cornell's head coach
Lior Lavie and first-year assistant coach
Reed Lorimer were honored after guiding the Big Red to a program-best fourth-place finish in the women's team race nationals. Cornell has also qualified for the women's and open fleet race nationals beginning May 20 in St. Mary's City, Md., won the MAISA spring team race title, and crowned freshman
Gilda Dondona the MAISA singlehanded champion
Mulvania became the second Cornell sailor to be chosen to the first team, joining Gabbi DelBello in 2023. A second-team pick for the crew a year ago, she was a first-team All-MAISA choice this spring. Green, meanwhile, is the first three-time All-Ivy League selection in program history, earning second-team accolades in each of the past three seasons.
