CJ Kirst has been named one of five finalists for the 2025 Tewaaraton Trophy it was announced today. Kirst, a two-time finalist (2023) is joined by four first-timers - Notre Dame's Chris Kavanagh (Notre Dame), Harvard's Sam King (Harvard), Princeton's Coulter Mackesy, and Army West Point's Jackson Eicher.
The three-time All-American is the nation's active leading scorer at 328 points, a six-time Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week in 2025 who paces all of college lacrosse with his 98 points (68 goals, 30 assists) this season and this week became the no. 1 overall selection in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) College Draft. The Most Outstanding Player in the 2025 Ivy League Tournament, Kirst is the 10th player in Division I history to reach the 200-goal mark and the fastest to reach the milestone at 55 games. His points total of 328 puts him 13th in NCAA history and enters the NCAA Tournament with 98 points, two shy of becoming the 26th player in NCAA men's Division I history to hit 100 in a season.

The Tewaaraton recipients will be chosen at the conclusion of the 2025 college lacrosse season by selection committees comprised of premier college coaches who are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation. The Finalists will be honored and this year's recipients announced live May 29 at the Tewaaraton Ceremony at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C.
