Twenty-Seven Men's Hockey Student-Athletes Named to 2025 ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team

| By:
ITHACA, N.Y. — A total of 27 Cornell men's ice hockey student-athletes were named to the 2025 ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon (July 2).

Student-athletes are eligible for the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team by having a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.00 on a 4.0 scale, or have accumulated a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 over the last three semesters.

Cornell was tied with Princeton, St. Lawrence, and Yale for the fourth-most student-athletes named to the conference's All-Academic Team, one behind tri-leaders Brown, Dartmouth, and Harvard.

Recently graduates Hank Kempf '25, Sullivan Mack '25, Jack O'Leary '25, Kyle Penney '25, Ondrej Psenicka '25, and Tim Rego '25 all received their fourth All-Academic Team awards.

Rising junior defenseman Hoyt Stanley was named to the ECAC Hockey Commissioner's List, as a student-athlete from each of the 12 member programs receives the distinction of being named to the Commissioner's List, which is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average.

Graduated goaltender Ian Shane '25 and defenseman Michael Suda '25, along with rising senior goaltender Remington Keopple, rising senior forward Winter Wallace, and rising junior forward Tyler Catalano, were honored by ECAC Hockey with their first All-Academic Team nods.
