LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – Cornell men's golf sits in eighth place after two rounds of the Autumn Invitational at the Lake Placid Club, posting a team total of 576 (+8) through 36 holes of competition.
The Big Red trails tournament leader Colgate by 23 strokes heading into Sunday's final round. Colgate leads at 553 (-15), followed by Columbia (556, -12) and Hofstra (559, -9).
Cornell's Tyler Debusschere leads the team's individual effort, tied for 19th at 141 (-1) after rounds of 69 and 72. Shep Davis sits tied for 24th at 142 (E), posting consistent rounds of 69 and 73.
TJ Betlow and
Weston Warden shot 148 (+6) and 150 (+8), respectively and aretied for 48th and tied for 62nd.
The tournament features 13 teams competing on the par-71, 6,776-yard Links Course at Lake Placid Club. Colgate's Alex Hill and Dartmouth's Luke Harper share the individual lead at 136 (-6).
The final round is scheduled for Sunday, with Cornell looking to move up the leaderboard in the team standings.
