Men's Golf Climbs To 12th at Colgate's Lagowitz Memorial

HAMILTON, N.Y. — The Cornell men's golf team jumped up three spots over the final two rounds to finish 12th at Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Memorial Tournament that concluded on Sunday afternoon. The Big Red closed the two-day invitational with a team score of 894 (306–292–296) over three rounds at Seven Oaks Golf Club.

Shep Davis led the Big Red, tying for 34th overall at 223 (+7), highlighted by an even-par 72 in the second round. Adithya Venkataraghavan followed closely with a 224 (+8), including a one-under 71 on Saturday. Tyler Betlow capped the event on a high note with an even-par 72 in the final round to finish at 227 (+11).

Viktor Stollinger (229, +13) was 61st and Tyler Debusschere (230, +14) also scored for the Big Red, with both Jack Burda (232, +16) and Weston Warden (233, +17) also seeing action over the weekend.

Lehigh captured the team title at 856 (-8), while the Mountain Hawks' Noah Zyung claimed medalist honors at 207 (-9).

The Big Red has a three-week break before returning to action at Columbia's Autumn Invitational beginning on Saturday, Sept. 27 in Lake Placid, N.Y.
