WASHINGTON, D.C. – Cornell gymnastics finished fourth Sunday, posting a 191.325 at the LFI Invitational at the Charles E. Smith Center. Penn won the meet with a 194.075, followed by West Chester (191.600) and George Washington (191.375).
The Big Red posted consistent event scores, led by floor exercise (48.450) and vault (48.400).
VAULT
Addy Rothstein and Cami Whitaker each posted 9.700 to pace Cornell on vault, tying for sixth overall. Grace McLean and Sarah Goetter each contributed 9.675, while Noelle Wojcik and Dahlia Jhaveri added scores of 9.650 and 9.625, respectively.
UNEVEN BARS
Morgen Shambo led the Big Red on bars with a 9.700, tying for fourth in the event. Jhaveri followed with a 9.625 and Goetter posted a 9.500, followed by Josie Moylan (9.450), and Rothstein (8.825). Natalia Tehrani added an 8.650.
BALANCE BEAM
Tehrani posted Cornell's top beam score with a 9.725, tying for fourth overall. Mikayla Burton scored a 9.700, while McLean tallied 9.650. Nora Sherman (8.725), Anne MacKenzie (9.575), and Shembo (8.125) rounded out the scoring.
FLOOR EXERCISE
Moylan tied for first on floor with a 9.800, sharing the event title with George Washington's Maya Peters. Ella Fox and Rothstein each scored 9.700, while Goetter contributed a 9.675. Michaela DeFrancisco (9.575) and Whitaker (9.500) completed the Big Red's lineup.
George Washington's Deana Sheremeta claimed the all-around title with a 38.850.
