Rory Guilday '25 has been selected to the represent the United States National Team at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. Guilday becomes the first Cornellian in program history to represent the U.S. on the Olympic stage.
Guilday is no stranger to senior International competition, boasting a gold medal (2023) and two silver medals (2022, 2024) at the IIHF World Championships. She contributed to the cause across these tournaments, producing six points on one goal and five assists. She couples that experience with 17 games of non-World Championship international experience, coming in the Rivalry Series and Six Nations Tournament.
The Minnesota-native appeared in 106 games for Cornell, registering 52 points on 19 goals and 33 assists during her career. She was an anchoring piece to strong blue-line units who consistently led Cornell to being top scoring-defenses in the nation. The two-time Big Red captain was named to the ECAC Hockey and USCHO All-Rookie teams, was an All-Ivy League selection three times, along with being named an All-ECAC Hockey member as a senior.Â
The 2026 women's ice hockey Olympic Games are scheduled to begin on Friday, February 6*, and conclude on Sunday, February 22*. The top-seeded United States women's ice hockey team is slated to begin it's slate on Thursday, February 5** at 10:40 a.m. E.T. in Preliminary action against Czechia at the Milano Rho Ice Hockey Arena. The U.S. is slotted in Group A, joining Canada, Czechia, Finland, and Switzerland.
