The Big Red held the edge in a tightly-contested first period. Both teams earned a woman-up advantage in the opening frame, but both units were unable to manage a shot-on-goal during the power-play.
Early in the second stanza, Wunder took advantage of a power-play opportunity by putting in a back-door rebound to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. At the halfway point of the second period Dwyer brought the game even shortly after a successful Big Red penalty-kill. Seconds after jumping onto the ice Fleming stepped in front of Dwyer's drive and tipped in a power-play goal to give Cornell a 2-1 lead. Grober kept the Big Red's momentum going less than two minutes later to extend the count to 3-1.
Grober made no mistake three minutes into the third period to add insurance to a big 4-1 Cornell lead. With Princeton's net empty, Bergmann swung the puck to Regalado who fired the puck down the ice and into the empty net to give Cornell a 5-1 advantage. Schiff added insult to injury, finding the back of the net with two minutes left to give Cornell a critical 6-1 victory over the Tigers.
Top Performer: Grace Dwyer (COR) - Four points (1g, 3a) against the Tigers
Winning Goaltender: Annelies Bergmann (COR) - Made 19 saves between the pipes and registered an assist on Regalado's empty-net goal
