ITHACA, N.Y. — Fourth-ranked Princeton posted five straight-game victories in its 9-0 sweep of the seventh-ranked Cornell women's squash team on Friday afternoon at the Belkin Squash Courts.

At the top of the order, Zeina Zein — fresh off her second consecutive CSA Individual Championship title earlier in the week — earned a four-game victory over junior Xin Ying Yee. Princeton also picked up straight-game wins at the No. 2, 5, 6, 8, and 9 positions.

Several contests were tightly contested throughout the lineup. At No. 3, Emma Trauber edged senior Alysa Ali in four games, while Charlotte Bell outlasted freshman Vicky Lai in a four-game battle at No. 4.

The longest match of the day came at No. 7, where Liyen Teoh rallied to defeat Maya Voloshin in five games after the Big Red junior avenged a 2-0 deficit with a pair of 11-9 victories to force a decisive fifth game.

UP NEXT
Cornell will continue its weekend homestand on Saturday when it hosts No. 2 Penn (9-0, 1-0 Ivy) at the Belkin Squash Courts. Matches are scheduled to begin at noon and will be streamed live on Stretch Internet.

Penn has dropped just five individual matches all season — tied with Harvard for the fewest in the nation — and features six undefeated players with at least five victories. The Quakers hold a 33-3 advantage in the all-time series, though Cornell earned a 6-3 victory in the most recent meeting in Ithaca on Jan. 13, 2023.
