Goldstein, Cascadden, Firth - Watch List 2026 Release

Cascadden, Goldstein & Firth Named to Tewaaraton Award Watch List

| By:
ITHACA, N.Y. – Three Cornell University men's lacrosse players have been named to the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Watch List, as announced by The Tewaaraton Foundation.

Jack Cascadden, a senior face-off specialist; Willem Firth, a junior attack; and Ryan Goldstein, a junior attack, represent the Big Red on the prestigious watch list that recognizes the top college lacrosse players in the nation.

Cornell is one of five schools to have three Tewaaraton Award winners since the awards inception in 2001, with CJ Kirst taking home the award last year. Max Seibald won the award in 2009 and Rob Pannell in 2013.

If a Big Red player wins the award in 2026, it will be just the third time in the awards history that the same school won the award in back-to-back seasons.

The Tewaaraton Award, presented by Stifel and founded in 2001, annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse players in the United States. Selection committees are comprised of premier collegiate coaches appointed annually by The Tewaaraton Foundation.

The 2026 watch list includes 104 men's lacrosse players from 26 schools. Syracuse and Maryland lead the field with four players each. Players not named to the initial watch list will have opportunities to earn selection as the season progresses.

Additional watch list announcements are scheduled for March 5 and March 26. The field will be narrowed to 25 nominees on April 16, with five finalists announced in early May.
The 2026 Tewaaraton Award recipients will be announced May 28 at the Tewaaraton Ceremony in Washington, D.C.
