Boston, Mass. — The Cornell men's indoor track and field team sent a competitive distance-heavy squad to the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University on Friday, Feb. 13.

Pierre Attiogbe delivered a historic performance in the invitational mile, clocking a 3:52.44 to finish seventh overall. His time shattered the French U23 national record by more than three seconds and broke the Ivy League record by .43 seconds — a mark previously set by Harrison Witt of Princeton at the same meet last year. At the time of this release, Attiogbe's performance ranks No. 10 in the NCAA all-time list and sits him at No. 5 this season.

Attiogbe later returned to the track in the 5,000 meters, posting a time of 13:52.01 in heat four.

Cornell sent a competitive, distance-heavy squad to one of the nation's premier midseason meets and added several strong performances across events.
