BOSTON, Mass. — The Cornell women's indoor track and field team turned in a pair of notable performances Saturday at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University, highlighted by a top-five program mark in the 4x400-meter relay and a podium finish from Francine Stevens.
The Big Red 4x400-meter relay quartet of Elise Sawyer, Natasha Redmond, Sophia Comfere and Francine Stevens placed fourth overall in a deep national field, crossing the line in 3:40.64. The performance ranks fifth all-time in Cornell history.
Stevens also delivered a standout individual effort, finishing third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.85. She later competed in the invitational section of the 200 meters, placing 11th in 24.24.
