HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — The Cornell men's golf team finished in a tie for 17th place at the Wexford Intercollegiate, posting a three-round total of 911 (+47) at Wexford Golf Club's Palmer Black course.
The Big Red carded rounds of 307-300-304 across the 54-hole stroke play event on the par-72, 6,884-yard layout. Cornell improved by seven strokes in the second round before posting a 304 (+16) in Tuesday's final round.
Shep Davis paced Cornell with a final-round 73 to finish alone in 25th place at 221 (+5).
Tyler Debusschere also shot 73 on Tuesday to tie for 29th at 223 (+7).
Adithya Venkataraghavan and
Weston Warden each posted 80s in the final round and tied for 74th at 235 (+19).
TJ Betlow joined them at that position after an 80 on Tuesday.
Charleston captured the team title at 864 (even par), finishing nine strokes ahead of second-place Xavier. Miles Eubanks of Charleston earned medalist honors with a 54-hole score of 207 (-9).
