NEW HAVEN, Conn
. – Cornell gymnastics scored 193.575 to finish third Sunday at the Ivy Classic Championships at John J. Lee Amphitheater. Penn won the meet with a 195.800, while Yale (195.525) and Brown (192.250) rounded out the four-team field.
The Big Red posted strong individual performances across all four events, highlighted by
Grace McLean's runner-up finish on balance beam and
Cami Whitaker's vault title.
VAULT
Cami Whitaker tied for first on vault with a 9.825, sharing the title with Penn's Jordan Barrow.
Michaela DeFrancisco tied for 10th with a 9.725, while
Dahlia Jhaveri tied for 15th with a 9.700.
Addy Rothstein and
Noelle Wojcik also contributed to Cornell's 48.500 vault score.
UNEVEN BARS
Sarah Goetter tied for fourth on bars with a 9.800, while
Ava Schenck-Davis,
Addy Rothstein and
Morgen Shambo each tied for 11th with 9.725 scores.
Dahlia Jhaveri and
Josie Moylan rounded out Cornell's 47.925 on the event.
BALANCE BEAM
Grace McLean tied for second on beam with a 9.850, finishing just behind Penn's Jordan Barrow (9.900).
Anne MacKenzie tied for seventh with a 9.800, while
Natalia Tehrani added a 9.725.
Noelle Wojcik,
Mikayla Burton and
Lauren Golioto also competed on the event as Cornell posted a 48.350.
FLOOR EXERCISE
Cami Whitaker tied for third on floor with a 9.850, while
Josie Moylan finished seventh with a 9.825.
Sarah Goetter tied for 14th with a 9.750, and
Ella Fox tied for 16th with a 9.725.
Addy Rothstein and
Grace McLean rounded out Cornell's 48.800 floor score.
