ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell gymnastics earned a dual meet victory Sunday, defeating Southern Connecticut State 193.450-189.075 at Newman Arena. The Big Red honored their senior class following the meet.
VAULT
Cami Whitaker won vault with a 9.750, while
Addy Rothstein finished second with a 9.725.
Dahlia Jhaveri,
Grace McLean and
Michaela DeFrancisco each tied for third with 9.700 scores.
Noelle Wojcik added a 9.550 as Cornell posted a 48.575 on the event.
UNEVEN BARS
Sarah Goetter won the bars competition with a 9.725, while
Addy Rothstein finished second with a 9.700.
Morgen Shambo placed third with a 9.650, followed by
Dahlia Jhaveri and
Natalia Tehrani who each scored 9.600.
Josie Moylan contributed a 9.025 as the Big Red totaled 48.275.
BALANCE BEAM
Grace McLean won beam with a 9.775, while
Mikayla Burton and
Natalia Tehrani tied for second with 9.625 scores.
Anne MacKenzie added a 9.525, while
Noelle Wojcik and
Lauren Golioto also competed on the event. Cornell posted a 47.900 on beam.
FLOOR EXERCISE
Josie Moylan won floor exercise with a 9.825, while
Cami Whitaker and
Sarah Goetter tied for fourth with 9.750 scores.
Ella Fox placed sixth with a 9.700, while
Addy Rothstein and
Grace McLean rounded out Cornell's 48.700 floor score.
NEXT UP
The Big Red will travel to College Park, Md., to compete in a quad meet at Maryland on Saturday, March 7. The meet is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
