WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Cornell gymnastics closed out the regular season Saturday morning, falling to West Chester 192.225-190.500 at Sturzebecker Hall.
Cornell posted a 48.525 on floor exercise, paced by
Sarah Goetter and
Josie Moylan, but a difficult showing on uneven bars with a 46.050 proved to be the difference in the meet.
VAULT
Cami Whitaker led the Big Red on vault with a team-best 9.775 to win the event outright.
Grace McLean added a 9.625, followed by
Dahlia Jhaveri at 9.600 and
Addy Rothstein at 9.550.
Michaela DeFrancisco contributed a 9.500 and
Sarah Goetter added a 9.475 as Cornell totaled 48.050 to tie West Chester on the event.
UNEVEN BARS
Sarah Goetter posted a team-high 9.700 on bars to tie for second overall.
Morgen Shambo contributed a 9.500 and
Josie Moylan added a 9.450. Cornell totaled 46.050 on the event.
BALANCE BEAM
Grace McLean led the Big Red on beam with a 9.675 to place second overall.
Lauren Golioto posted a 9.600, followed by
Anne MacKenzie and
Natalia Tehrani with matching 9.550s.
Noelle Wojcik added a 9.500 as Cornell totaled 47.875 on the apparatus.
FLOOR EXERCISE
Sarah Goetter and
Josie Moylan headlined Cornell's floor rotation, with Goetter posting a 9.875 to finish second overall and Moylan adding a 9.825 for third.
Cami Whitaker contributed a 9.725,
Addy Rothstein added a 9.650 and
Ella Fox posted a 9.450 as the Big Red totaled 48.525 on the event.
