Willem Firth, the Ivy League Attackman of the Year, All-American, and Tewaaraton Award Finalist, can now add ECAC Offensive Player of the Year to his list of accolades for the 2026 season. Senior faceoff specialist
Jack Cascadden and senior defender Brendan Stuad earned All-ECAC honors.
Firth is the second Cornellian in the last four years to win the award, joining former teammate,
CJ Kirst '25 who earned the designation in 2023 and again in 2025.
The junior, who became the seventh Canadian ever to be named a Tewaaraton Award finalist earlier this month, completed the season with a team-leading 81 points on 52 goals and 29 assists, all of which are career highs. Firth recorded at least three points in 13 of 16 games played, including 10 games with at least five points and a season- and career-best nine points — five goals and four assists — against High Point on April 13. He recorded three or more goals in 10 of 16 games, including five of the final six games of the season. The Ottawa, Ontario, native was No. 2 on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays on March 22 after a behind-the-back shot in a 13-11 Cornell win over Princeton the day prior.
Firth ranks third in the nation in points per game (5.06) and fourth in goals per game (3.25). He is also among the nation's leaders in assists per game (1.81), man-up goals (5), and shot percentage (.403).
Cascadden was one of the top faceoff men in the country and the Ivy League, earning Ivy League Midfielder of the Year honors and All-Ivy First Team recognition, as well as All-American honors from USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse. He finished the season with 178 faceoff wins in 284 chances, a .627 win percentage, while recording eight points on four goals and four assists.
Staub was an elite defender in the Ivy League as a unanimous selection to the All-Ivy First Team. The All-American finished the season with a team-best 18 caused turnovers, picked up 44 ground balls, and scored four goals.
