ITHACA, N.Y. — Rising junior coxswain
Charlotte Langlois has been named to steer Canada's entry in the Women's Eight at the 2026 World Rowing Under-23 Championships, Rowing Canada Aviron announced today (July 9). The regatta runs July 23-26 in Duisburg, Germany.
A native of Toronto, Langlois exclusively coxed Cornell's 2V8+ this past spring and is one of eight active NCAA student-athletes named to Canada's U23 roster. She's joined by three Michigan student-athletes and individuals from Rhode Island, Syracuse, Tennessee and Virginia.
"Charlotte is incredibly deserving to represent Canada on the international stage," said
Steve Coppola, the Staley Head Coach of Cornell women's rowing. "We've seen her as a rising star in the coxswain seat and she has worked very hard to earn this position. Charlotte is a great decision-maker on the water. I'm glad she has this opportunity and can bring international experience back to our boathouse to help our program grow in speed."
"I feel incredibly honoured to represent Canada this summer at the World Rowing Under-23 Championships," Langlois said. "This is an amazing team of athletes, and I am excited to have the privilege of racing with this group wearing the maple leaf."
