ITHACA, N.Y. –
Connor Buczek, Richard M. Moran Head Coach of Men's Lacrosse, announced today that Colin Corcoran has joined the Cornell men's lacrosse staff as Director of Operations.
"We're excited to welcome Colin into the Cornell Lacrosse Family," said Buczek. "He represents many of the core values that our program represents. He is intelligent, hard working and collaborative. He will be a great addition to our program."
Corcoran arrives on East Hill after four seasons on the coaching staff at John Carroll University, most recently serving as assistant coach and offensive coordinator since August 2023, a role he moved into after beginning as a volunteer assistant in December 2022. In that time, Corcoran helped develop the Blue Streaks' offensive systems and installed game plans through opponent film study, while also playing a key role in recruiting and daily practice and game-film operations.
"I'm incredibly excited to join the Cornell Lacrosse program," Corcoran said. "It's a program built on a culture of excellence, and I'm honored to have the opportunity to support its daily operations and contribute to its success. Coach Buczek and his staff are among the best in the country, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to work alongside them. I'm fired up to get started and to serve this program, our student-athletes, and the Big Red community."
During his tenure, John Carroll won two conference tournament championships and earned conference Coaching Staff of the Year honors once. The program produced three USILA Division III All-Americans, a USA Lacrosse All-American, two USA Lacrosse Preseason All-Americans and six USILA Scholar All-Americans.
Corcoran's players also collected three conference Player of the Year awards, 31 All-Conference selections, 12 Conference Player of the Week honors and two USILA Division III Team of the Week nods, along with 14 Academic All-Conference honorees, four CSC Academic All-District At-Large selections and a USILA Team Academic Award.
In addition to his collegiate coaching role, Corcoran has served as Director of Boys Programming for Northeast Ohio Legion Lacrosse since January 2025, and as the club's head lacrosse coach since November 2022, overseeing practice planning and communication across eight age groups.
Corcoran played four years at John Carroll, where he served as team captain and helped the Blue Streaks to three OAC championships. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Data Science and Actuarial Science, and was a Dean's List honoree, John Carroll Magis Scholarship recipient and winner of the Eugene R. Mittinger Mathematics Award. He also brings professional experience as a Senior Analyst in Commercial Analytics at KeyBank, where he has worked since 2020.
