Cressler Named Ivy Rookie of the Week For Second Time

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell freshman guard Nolan Cressler has been named the Ivy League Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after helping the Big Red split a pair of conference games.

Cressler averaged 11.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game in a pair of games off the bench. In the Big Red's two-point loss to Harvard, Cressler hit 3-of-4 shots from the floor for eight points. He chipped in four rebounds and a steal. Cressler was even better in the 23-point win over Dartmouth, collecting 14 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals while making 5-of-6 shots from the floor. In just 45 total minutes on the weekend, he scored 22 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished two assists and had three steals.

For the season, Cressler is among the team's leaders in scoring (8.0 ppg.), rebounding (3.4 rpg.) and 3-point field goal percentage (.414) while sitting second on the team in 3-pointers made (36).
