Women's Squash Competes at CSA Individual Championships

ANAPOLIS, Md.—The Big Red women's squash team competed at the CSA Individual National Championships on Friday and Saturday at the US Naval Academy. Four women's players competed in the Ramsay and Holleran Cups.
Jennifer Gemmell was the Big Red's sole competitor in the Ramsay Cup. Gemmell fell to June Tiong 9-1, 9-2, 9-6, before losing to Princeton's Casey Riley 9-6, 2-9, 9-2, 10-9 in the consolation round.
In the Holleran Cup, Alex Cornett defeated Bates player Jennifer Imrich, 9-5, 9-4, 9-5. She will next face Yale's Jessica Balderston.
Annie Ritter defeated Tufts' Stefanie Marx (9-1, 9-1, 9-2) before losing to Menusha Hettiarchachi (6-9, 9-2, 9-5, 9-3).
Liza Stokes won her first match in the Holleran Cup against Mount Holyoke's Laurian Lue Yen (9-6, 9-1, 9-5). She will next face Caroline Reigeluth of Yale.
