ITHACA, N.Y.—The Big Red women's squash team lost a 7-2 hard fought match to No. 5 ranked Yale on Saturday afternoon. Cornell won at the No. 3 and No. 6 positions, and the Big Red picked up a win at the No. 10 spot in exhibition play. Cornell's two points were the first time the Big Red has won an individual match over the Bulldogs since the 2001-02 season.

At the No.3 spot, Shivangi Paranjpe defeated Alia Azia, 9-4, 2-9, 10-8, 9-6. Alex Cornett lost to Caroline Reigeluth, 3-1. Cornett won the first game, 9-2, but was edged out 10-8, 10-8, 9-7 in the next three. At No. 6, Lauren Sachvie defeated Lexi Van Arkel 3-2. Sachvie won the first game, 9-4, but Van Arkel battled back to win the next two, 9-4, 9-5. The Big Red player then pulled through to a 9-6, 10-8 victory. At the No. 9 spot, Clare Berner fell to Katharine Ettinger 3-2. Berner dropped the first game, 9-7, but took the lead winning the next two 10-8, and 9-5. Ettinger picked up the win with victories in the final two games, 9-0 and 9-7. At the No. 10 spot in exhibition, Izzy Spyrou defeated Kaitlin Vinci, 3-1
