ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's and women's squash teams resume their seasons after a two-week break on Saturday, traveling to Cambridge, Mass., to face Harvard and Tufts in a pair of dual matches. The Big Red will take on the Crimson at noon before battling Tufts in a 2:15 p.m. start.
For the Big Red men, the matchup against Harvard pits the fifth-ranked Crimson against the sixth-ranked Big Red, while Tufts enters the weekend ranked 19th in the most recent rankings. Cornell enters the weekend with a 2-1 record on the year after scoring wins over Western Ontario and Penn to open the season before falling to Princeton on Nov. 22.
Chris Sachvie, playing his first three matches of the season at number three, went 3-0 on the season opening weekend to lead the Big Red, while McKay Claghorn and
Owen Butler also went 3-0 in the eighth and ninth slots.
On the women's side, the Big Red should have another pair of tough battles on its hands, facing the second-ranked Crimson before taking on Tufts, which is ranked 19th. Cornell enters the weekend ranked sixth, having opened the year with a 2-1 mark, defeating Stanford but falling to Penn and Princeton on Nov. 21-22.

Rebecca Hazell and Maggie Remsen, each of whom posted a 2-1 record against their three opponents.
Following this weekend's action, the Big Red will break for exams and the New Year before returning to action against men's top-ranked and women's third-ranked Trinity, highlighting a three-match weekend on Jan. 15-17, 2010. The men will also take on Yale and Brown, while the women will add a match with Mt. Holyoke in addition to the contests against the Bulldogs and Bears.
