SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Cornell baseball team dropped a 9-0 contest to Sacramento State on Friday evening in Sacramento, Calif.
Adam Jacobs led the Cornell offense with three hits on the day, while
Jadd Schmeltzer had a pair of hits for the Big Red.
Cornell's only other hit came off the bat of
Mickey Brodsky, as the Big Red did not advance a runner past second base on the day.

Matt Hill worked six innings, allowing five runs, four of them earned, on eight hits while striking out seven.
Will Keehn came on in relief and allowed three runs in one inning of work, while
Patrick Lewicki gave up one run in his one inning of action. Both Keehn and Lewicki struck out a pair of Hornet batters.
Cornell closes out its spring break trip with a pair of games against Sacramento State on Saturday. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 11 a.m. Pacific Time.
