LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The reigning ECHL Western Conference champion Las Vegas Wranglers have announced that they have signed Cornell graduate Locke Jillson for the upcoming 2012-13 season. Jillson played 124 career games as a winger for the Big Red, earning an ECAC Hockey championship and three trips to the NCAA tournament in his East Hill tenure.

Jillson tied a career high with seven goals to go with three assists during his senior season. His plus-8 rating during the 2011-12 season was also the highest mark in his career. He racked up 20 goals and 25 assists for 45 points in his four seasons on East Hill.

The Dallas, Texas native had a knack for scoring goals on some of the biggest stages the Big Red saw. He is the only Cornell player with multiple goals in the team's three games against Boston University in front of sold-out crowds at Madison Square Garden in 2007, 2009 and 2011. Jillson scored in as a sophomore in the second game, then potted the Big Red's only goal last November. He also scored the opening goal in Cornell's victory on Jan. 6 at then-No. 6 Colorado College.

The Las Vegas Wranglers advanced all the way to the Kelly Cup finals last season before succumbing to the Florida Everblades in a five-game final series. The Everblades signed Sean Whitney '12 in July.
